This weekend was awesome! We had a 3 day weekend for Martin Luther King Day. I finished all the homework that I needed to for Tuesday on Friday and then I went to Phantom of the Opera (put on by BYU) for a date. We had delicious dinner before hand and then watched the play which was INCREDIBLE. At the end the Phantom proposed!!! It was so cute! Then we walked back and had hot chocolate and watched Inception until it was about 11:45. Then I came home and talked with my roomies for a bit, talked to Logan on the phone, and went to bed. Saturday was wonderful because I got to SLEEP IN! Then Grandma Joyce had her birthday lunch at Outback which was superb! I came home long enough to leave again and go grocery shopping and shopping for shoes for social dance. I had no luck on the shoes, but plenty of luck with groceries. Jolynda was in town so Jasmine and I went to dinner with her and 2 of her roommates and 3 of their friends at Zupas. It was delicious! I got my usual there which is the mango something salad and the honey bacon melt or something like that. Plus you get a chocolate covered strawberry with every meal and a piece of bread with the salad (or soup), yumm :) We got back with enough time for me to change my shoes and head to the Mens Volleyball game with Beth, Jasmine, and Kyle. We ended up leaving early courtesy of Ben Patch's inappropriate friends behind us yelling rude and obscene things at the opposing team. Boys, that is the most unattractive thing ever, talking to people like that. And do the girls laughing with them, that just makes me sad. But we came back and watched She's The Man with some friends and made Orange Julius's with popcorn. On Sunday I woke up and went to church and then had meetings as soon as that ended till the time I left for family dinner at Grandma Joyce's. It was her birthday and all of us ended up coming for at least a little bit. Cortney gave me some boots and we had ward prayer which was fun as usual. Beth, Jasmine and I started our Disney Princess Movie Marathon. We watched Beauty and the Beast and Sleeping Beauty on Sunday. Then on Monday I got to sleep in again (yay for 3 day weekends!) and we went to see Les Mis (Me, Kristen, Beth, Jasmine, Kyle, and Brett). It was AMAZING and then we went to Subzero for icecream afterwards. Upon arriving home Beth, Jasmine and I started in on the rest of the movies we had rented. We watched The Princess and the Frog, Snow White, Little Mermaid, Cinderella and finally Tangled. I'd say it was a pretty awesome 3 day weekend :) And it was super nice to just relax!
Tomorrow is my first inter-mural soccer game and I am so excited! Woot woot!

Catch Up!
Haven't written in quite a while so I figured I should do a brief catch up for those of you who actually read my blog on any occasion! And for myself as well of course. School's going great. I'm loving Interior Design, ASL is awesome, Human Development is a little boring since I already know all the material we've covered, I'm surviving American Heritage and BOM part 2 with Marsh is the same as last semester with part 1.
Last Friday we went to the volleyball games and then to a dance but Kiera (from Juneau) and I left early and just went to my apartment to catch up on each other's lives. Then on Saturday I dyed my hair back to the lovely color of brown. I'm still adjusting! But I like it! Jasmine, Beth and I went to the volleyball games and our friend Brett came with us. He's a really cool guy actually. Then we went to a dance and had a blast. Sunday was watching Rio, seeing PRESIDENT UCHTDORF in person and watching him at the fireside in the Marriott. We got floor seats! And then there was ward prayer which was awesome :) There are some studs in our ward! Monday was social dance which our friends Brett, Kyle, and Haven joined with Josh, Grant, Megan, Jasmine, Sarah and I. Loving that class too by the way! I forgot to mention it earlier. Last night Brett came over and CHOSE to watch Phantom of the Opera which was way fun! We didn't finish so we're going to finish another night. Tomorrow I'm going on my first date of the semester. A boy in our ward by the name of Jameson asked me on a double date to go see BYU's production of Phantom of the Opera. I am SO excited! And we're eating dinner in his apartment before. We're doubling with his roommate and another girl who I don't think I know. But it should be fun! Tomorrow I only have one class but I'm hoping to get all my homework done so I can enjoy my 3 day weekend! Hopefully seeing Les Mis with Jasmine and Beth this weekend, getting some grocery shopping done and buying shoes for Social Dance and just relaxing with my girls and hopefully some other people too ;) Loving being back at the Y!

First Night Back in Utah
I left Ketchikan this morning. It was kinda bittersweet. I'm gonna miss it, but I'm excited to be back in Utah too. I'm excited for this semester, I'm ready for it. I can just feel it's going to be good if I let it be.
So first things first to my day. I woke up at 6:45 and got ready, grabbed a bagel (courtesy of Mom) and headed off with my baggage. Then we rode the 7:45 ferry to the airport and checked in. Mom and Dad came through security with me and flew to Seattle with me, how sweet of them I know! Well yes it's sweet but they were on their way to California to spend some time with my Grandparents. But it was lovely having their company :) I had the Mexican place in the Seattle Airport for lunch and at the moment I'm drawing a blank on what it's called but it's between the Italian place and Makki of Japan (or however you spell that). I got a burrito (that I haven't tried before-Resolution in action!) and some water. Then I bought a new ring at Fireworks that says "Love you to the moon and back" P.S. this is also when I found out that my plane kept getting delayed....So we went and got smoothies in the C gates at Freshens (I think that's what it's called). I got Strawberry Kiwi since I always get the Mango one (resolution again!) Since my plane still had lots of time till departure I rode with the parentals to their gate and sat with them till they boarded. Mom taught me how to cast off with knitting since I had already started and I officially made my first creation! A hot pad (RESOLUTION!) and now I'm working on a scarf, or at least something that I hope will resemble a scarf when I'm done with it. After Mom and Dad's plane left I went to go find my S Gate and got a little mixed up in the subway/train station in the airport but at long last I found my gate, with plenty of time to spare I might add. I found a seat and ended up sitting by my TA from last semester in Psych, Steve! He started a conversation with me and we talked all the way till we boarded. I got into Salt Lake City at 6:10 (almost 2 hours late) and fumbled 2 suitcases, a duffle bag, and my backpack out to Grandma Joyce's car. Bryonna, Grandma and I drove down to Orem and Grandma had pizza ready to go at her house for us to eat. Bryonna and I were both a little tired from travelling so we hunkered down with blankets and watched CSI New York and another show that I don't remember the name of when I got a text from an RA in the building next to ours (we're in the same ward) named David. Mary told me he was in town so I sent him a Facebook Message asking if he knew if anyone else was in town and if so if anyone wanted to do anything to let me know since I was back too. He came and picked me up and we went to go see the movie Pitch Perfect with some of his friends. (RESOLUTION!) It was REALLY funny and I really liked it. We were a little late since David came to get me but it was really nice of him! Now I'm back home and it's 12:40 in the morning. I should probably get some shuteye since I plan on actually setting an alarm tomorrow morning. GASP I know, me setting an alarm when I don't have to but it's a goal of mine and tomorrow is going to be productive! Lots to do, and I get to see some of my roommates tomorrow! Yay! Also, Mens Volleyball starts tomorrow night at 7 and I WILL be there! At some point this week Jasmine wants to go see Les Mis, so that should be fun! This semester is going to be awesome! And my bucket list of resolutions (for lack of a better title) is going to be accomplished :) Nighty night!
Oh, P.S. Did I mention it's like 5 degrees outside?!?!

Snowboarding Postponed
So, turns out Akram got hurt and Jenny is now going to LA so we won't be going snowboarding on Saturday. Hopefully Jenny will be able to make it down another weekend while there's plenty of snow and hopefully Akram gets well soon! So I guess this weekend will just be a relaxing one and I'm not sure what I'll do yet. Maybe I'll rearrange my furniture a bit or something! Well it's time for me to go say bye to 3 of my favorite little girls, 1 of my favorite sister in laws, and 1 of my favorite brothers. Then maybe a game or two with the parents and possibly a movie. Good last night home.
Last Day in Ketchikan
Well, it's my last day in Ketchikan. It's hard to believe I've been here for almost 3 weeks already. Logan left this morning on a wrestling trip to Fairbanks so they picked me up and took me to the airport ferry so I could say bye to him and his parents. Then I came home by 7:15 and went back to sleep until 10:30. Now I'm just doing laundry and getting ready to pack while I'm doing some other things as well. I wish I had more time here and that I could spend more time with everyone but I don't. And I'm ready to be back in Utah with my roommates and at school. For all my Ketchikan friends, I hope to see you again if I can before I leave and if not then I'll see you this summer. For all my Utah friends, I'll see you again soon.

New Years, New Times
So it's the year 2013 now, feels kind of weird to say. But oh well, I'll get used to it. I've never really been one for resolutions but heck, it's time for some changes! So here is my list of resolutions :)
1. Knit Something I'll use
2. Get rid of the blonde in my hair
3. Clean my room/apartment daily (at least straighten it)
4. Create a workout plan and stick with it
5. Learn to make/cook new things
6. Try new foods when given the chance
7. Be more social at college
8. Find a Major and/or Minor
9. Do not fail any American Heritage Tests
10. Leave the past behind me and move on
11. Get ready for the day every day
12. Write on my blog at least once a week
13. Learn to Snowboard
14. Make decisions and stick to them
15. Learn to bake
16. Find a New Hobby
We'll see how it goes, there's 16 things for 2013. Some of them may turn out to be failures, some may turn out to be huge successes but I'm okay with that. I'll figure it out :) Among the list will probably also be find a job at college, be finncially stable, and be kinder/more thoughtful. Sometimes I talk to quickly before I think and say things that hurt people. I'm sure we all do it but I want to do it less. So that's a goal of mine. The list in fact will probably grow a lot. A lot of things really won't get done or will have a few bumps along the way but hey, I'll make it all work out for the best I think. I want this year to be a good one and I wan to make it count. I don't want regrets, I want to do it right.
Get to see my roommates in just a couple of days :) Snowboarding in 4 days! Second Semester of College in 6 days! Bring it ;)
